Chromebooks Classroom

What is BYOD?

"Bring your own device (BYOD) refers to technology models where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning."

Liverpool Girls' high School recognises the need to prepare our students for a rapidly changing world where technology plays a large role in our persona, social and professional lives. We know that the use of technology is integral in the delivery of quality teaching and learning in the 21st Century classroom.

At Liverpool Girls' High School, we have elected to use Chromebooks as our preferred device and best solution for teaching and learning. Our research and testing have found that Chromebooks provide an efficient and effective workflow that addresses most of the learning needs for our school. This includes 10 hours battery life, quick start and productivity, the lightweight, allows for portability, no overheads and software issues and an extensive suite of Google applications. Microsoft Office 365 is also available to all students and staff via the NSW Department of Education portal.
