Child Studies

Child studies is an elective course offered in stage 5 and aims to develop in students the knowledge, understanding, and skills to positively influence the wellbeing and development of children in the critical early years in a range of settings and contexts. Students will develop skills in supporting a child’s development, positively influence the growth, development, and wellbeing of children and research, communicate and evaluate issues related to child development. Students are provided with opportunities throughout the course to learn through real-life opportunities and experiences through the use of virtual babies.
